We are happy to announce the completion of the roofing renovation work on the rectory of the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Aurora.
Access was very limited due to the fact that no driveway was available to utilize a roll off container or dump truck so all debris had to be double handled and hauled to the container via wheel barrows. With five layers of roofing present, there was over 30,000 square feet of roofing removed down to the original wood decking.
A large antique stained glass window, (valued @ $40,000.00), installed when the building was new in the late 1800’s was located on the wall directly below one of the slopes that had to be torn off. A custom made cover was constructed to cover the large window and protect it from the falling debris and any accidents that may occur.
New seamless aluminum gutters were installed for the finishing touch.
We’re pleased to say that this massive undertaking was carried out and finished without incident.
